DJS诗歌翻译奖

DJS诗歌翻译奖由DJS艺术基金会2010年设立，旨在促进中外诗歌交流，鼓励高质量的诗歌翻译。以奖励翻译出版项目为主。自2011年起，该诗歌翻译奖每年颁发一次。奖金一千美元。颁奖为每年12月底。（如空缺则不颁奖）
头三年主要鼓励将中文当代诗译介到英语或其它语种。

参选方式和评选程序：
1. 接受作者/译者投稿自荐，以及他人推荐。
2. 请将近两年原创诗歌翻译50首以上连同原文一起寄至： poetryeastwest@gmail.com
3. 翻译作品需未结集出版；未得到或未将获得其它赞助。
4. 申请或被推荐的译者需为外语母语诗人；如果翻译作品为合作完成，需有100首以上，申请或被推荐的合作译者中需有一人为外语母语诗人，奖金由译者均分或颁给外语母语诗人。
5. 来稿由DJS工作室或特邀诗人评审。

申请及推荐截止日期： 每年10月30日。

* DJS艺术基金会还设有诗歌奖、诗歌批评奖、 诗集奖，不受语言或国家限制，不定期颁发。日期同上。此外，《诗东西》也不定期颁发翻译奖，一千人民币，由《诗东西》诗歌奖评委会评选。

更新：2018年起，以上要求取消。DJS翻译奖的基本标准是：25位当代诗人以上的诗选，100首之上，有确定的出版计划。诗人译者和汉学家均可。

2020更新：DIS 翻譯獎和詩東西翻譯獎合并，任何語種都考慮，獎金由每一屆評委決定。

DJS Poetry Translation Award

“DJS Poetry Translation Award” has been established by DJS Art Foundation, a private entity, to promote literary exchange between China and other countries and to encourage quality translation of poetry. Starting from 2011, one award each year, USD 1000, recipient(s) to be announced around December 30.

During the first three years, DJS Translation prize will be awarded to a translator or a team of translators who has/have demonstrated exceptional skills in translating a book of contemporary poetry (50 poems or more) from Chinese into English or another non-Chinese language. (After the initial three years, translations can be from a non-Chinese language into Chinese.)

Procedures:
1. Submissions from the author/translator and/or recommendation by other people are both accepted.
2. Please send 50 or more poems translated in recent two years along with the originals to: poetryeastwest@gmail.com.
3. The translation work should not have been published in book form yet, should not have been or expected to be funded elsewhere.
4. The translator must be a native speaking poet of the target language (or has demonstrated fluency in that language). Translation can be done individually or in collaboration with other poets of the source language (in the latter case, there should be 100 or more poems, the award shall be distributed equally or given to the native speaking poet of the target language).
5. Submissions will be judged by DJS board members or invited translators.

Deadline:
October 30 of each year.

* DJS also administers (separately)  DJS Award for Poetry and DJS Award for Criticism regardless of languages or countries. Deadline is the same as the translation prize. （DJS Poetry Award has two categories: Poetry Award and an award for unpublished manuscript. In the later case, DJS will publish the manuscripts selected)

Update 2018: Previous requirements are eliminated. New expectations: minimum requirements for the DJS translation award: an anthology of at least 25 contemporary poets, 100 + poems, with a definitive publication plan.  Poet-translators and sinologists are both considered.

Update 2020: DJS Translation Award is merged with PEW Translation Award. All languages are considered.
